Allergy Information

To our consumers with severe food sensitivities or allergies:

As a Tradition of Excellence, Frederick’s Pastries is always striving to meet every customer’s needs. While this is obtainable most of the time, there are times in which we cannot meet those needs due to unmanageable circumstances, such as allergies.

Some foods or ingredients can cause undesirable reactions due to individual body chemistries. Food allergies can come on suddenly or may be delayed and can be extremely serious. We produce all of our products in a kitchen that processes with peanuts, tree nuts, dairy, and wheat products, and cannot guarantee any severe allergy free products because of stray allergen particles in the air. Therefore, due to these circumstances, we are unable to guarantee that any cake or pastry can be completely free of allergens which may be of concern for those with severe allergies.

If your condition is life threatening then it is in your best interest to avoid our products due to the possible event that residue from the products you are concerned with may come in contact with those considered safe. Please order with caution. The ingredients list itself does not make up the complete role of whether a product contains an allergen or not.

Cakes that are ordered with proper notification of an allergy, Frederick’s will do their best to eliminate as much of the allergen as possible. We still cannot guarantee that there is no trace of the allergen. Cakes that are not ordered with proper notification of an allergy have a much higher chance of cross contamination. As we work, peanuts, peanut butter, flour, dairy, and other allergens are open and exposed throughout the day, in many cases right next to or sharing equipment that is used on our products. If there is any concern of an allergic reaction, please do not consume.
